Meet the founder

Harley Johnston – Founder, Designer

I'm Harley. I have 20 years' experience developing brand and digital solutions for a wide range of clients.

I started Pairing Studio with a clear vision: to develop architectural brands with the highest level of craft, creativity, and care, from inception to delivery. I believe that no two clients are alike – everyone needs a tailored solution.

My experience spans branding, digital, and print design. That versatility is essential for achieving a consistent aesthetic, while squeezing every drop from each medium.

I have two creative studios: Harley Johnston Design, formed in 2014, offers agency-level design with the convenience of a nimble team, bringing in specialists as needed. My enjoyment and appreciation for architecture and building led me to form Pairing Studio in 2026, specialising in building strategic, premium brands for suppliers to industry.
